[ about ]

Netropolis is a persistent isometric city where companies buy visibility, climb the seasonal Downtown leaderboard, take over district plots, and compete for Crown Tower.

How it works:

  • Increase Global Bid: Raise your seasonal total to climb Downtown. Crown Tower is rank #1 — a rank slot, not a building you buy.

  • Take Over Plots: Claim a district plot for a temporary lease, or displace the current occupant. Confirmed plot spend still adds to the same Downtown total.

  • Get Seen: Names, logos, and ranks sit on the city in public. Visitors click through to your site.

Features:

  • Crown Tower & Top 10: Downtown landmarks are the leaderboard. Crown Tower is #1. The Top 10 names are on the skyline without a click.

  • District Competition: Themed districts hold plots you can lease. Another company can take the plot by paying the required takeover price.

  • Live Activity Feed: See who took Crown Tower, claimed a plot, or got displaced — as the city updates.

  • Tracked Outbound Clicks: Company sites open through tracked links, so public placement can be counted as traffic.

  • Company Profiles: Name, logo, tagline, and a public page. Identity is overlay; the buildings stay city geometry.

  • Real-Time Updates: Rank and occupancy change after payments confirm. The city shows server-approved state, not a local guess.

  • Building Progression: Each plot’s building steps up as that plot’s paid price crosses thresholds — not your overall seasonal total.

  • Community Influence: Spectators spend cosmetic-only Influence. It never changes bids, ranks, leases, or money.

Seasons:

Competition runs in fixed seasons. Your Downtown rank is the seasonal paid total — Global Bid increments and confirmed plot takeovers both count. Totals start at $0 each season, never drop while the season is active, and Crown Tower goes to whoever holds #1.

When a season ends, competitive totals reset and Downtown landmarks clear for the next run. Rankings, Crown Tower holders, and plot history stay public as read-only season records.

Achievements:

Public marks for paid participation, rank, takeovers, and finishing a season at #1. They are status displays, not prizes.

  • First Citizen
  • Crowned
  • Top Three
  • Downtown Regular
  • Conqueror
  • Defender
  • District Baron
  • Season Champion

This is paid advertising and public status placement — not investment.

Payments buy visibility, tracked clicks, and a place on the city. They do not buy property, equity, stored value, or a chance at prize money.
