[ about ]

Localdock is a macOS menubar application that assigns a unique, stable address to each of your local development projects, ensuring consistent access regardless of port changes. It offers three levels of reach: localhost on your Mac, Wi-Fi access for testing on real mobile devices, and temporary public HTTPS links for sharing with clients or webhook providers. Each public link carries a secret key, expires after an hour, and vanishes when switched off. Localdock runs offline, requires no account or telemetry, and is available for a one-time purchase of $9 for a single device. It supports macOS 14+ and is compatible with both Apple Silicon and Intel Macs. Built by Dmytro Virych in Kharkiv, Localdock aims to simplify the development workflow by providing real addresses for every dev server, eliminating the need for DNS setup or administrative passwords. It works seamlessly with hot reload and requires no additional installations for clients or collaborators. For more information, visit the official website at https://www.localdock.dev/.
